The common concern about ordering medication over the internet is whether or not the medication is in fact the genuine article.  UK finasteride only provides legitimate prescription medication in original packaging, typically with a minimum of 12-18 months shelf life.  We obtain the medication from an actual pharmacy which is why we need every new patient to register and fill out an online consultation.  That consultation is reviewed by the GP and is then taken to the pharmacy where the medication is obtained. Since February 2011 we have issued over 1000 orders, the large majority through recommendations via the various hair loss forums online which are a very well educated and no nonsense community.  We have had only positive feedback in our service, speed and legitimacy.

We aim to turn around orders within 24-48 hours upon payment receipt.  In some cases the wholesaler and resulting pharmacy which orders the medication may have stock issues and delays, this does happen from time to time, but rest assured we will keep you informed if any such delays are likely.  Once we receive payment we usually can get the medication from the pharmacy within 1-2 days and post it out to you through royal mail recorded first class.  Your medication will have a tracking number you can use to guarantee that your medication will be received.

At present we only offer direct bank payment or cheque.  We do not accept credit cards at present although we will look in to this in the near future.  We do not accept paypal as this is against their terms of service for prescription medication.  Bank transfer allows both parties to have a record of payment and is usually pretty quick within 48 hours.  If you do pay by cheque your order will take the usual time for the cheque to clear 3-5 working days

The reason we offer 3 versions of finasteride is down to personal choice, cost and historic prescribing.  Propecia which is the branded 1mg tablet of finasteride manufactured by MSD is currently around £2 per day per tablet it is a very expensive medication for preventing further hair loss only available through private prescription.  However finasteride has been prescribed in it’s generic from by many Doctors for many years as a low cost alternative to Propecia. The only difference being that generic finasteride comes in a 5mg tablet and it has been common practice to simply cut the tablet into 5th’s to get the 1mg dose to treat hair loss.  Proscar is simply a branded 5mg finasteride tablet and finpecia is a 1mg tablet which is designed specifically for hair loss.  90% of the patients who order from us are very educated in hair loss and have come through the various hair loss forums where this understanding is common place.
